BackSolange Damascena "a gaga de Ilhéus" no Show do Tom. Tom Cavalcante recebe a revelação da Internet no YouTube em seu programa, exibido em 27/09/2008 durante o 5º Festival Nacional de Piadas. Tem muito gago famoso no Brasil e até pouco tempo quando se falava em gagueira todos lembravam da Ruth Lemos uma nutricionista pernambucana que devido ao delay que acontece em transmissões ao-vivo, começa a gaguejar durante uma entrevista para uma grande rede de televisão. Mas hoje a figurinha mais conhecida na internet é a baiana Solange Damasceno, moradora de Ilhéus. Filha de pai gago e com 12 irmãos(3 gagos), Solange é uma celebridade na internet. A gaga ganhou fama e criou essa visibilidade após conceder uma entrevista ao radialista Vila Nova, no Programa O Tabuleiro, em que criticava a má administração municipal. Porém, por ser dona de uma gagueira aguçada, a entrevista despertou risos, tornando o protesto uma piada e a piada um protesto. Solange também participou de outros programas de TV: Custe o que custar (CQC) e Márcia Goldschmith, ambos da Band. A gaga de Ilhéus está concorrendo como melhor Web Hit, no VMB, principal premiação da MTV, que premia os maiores sucessos da Internet. Entre os vídeos concorrentes estão: Dança do Quadrado, MC Creu, A Drag a Gozar, entre outros.
