My Andy McKee - Ebon Coast- Drum Accompaniment

Back

So I came across Andy McKee's music and like many, loved it right away. I particularly liked his "Ebon Coast" piece. And since I can't play with him live I've tried this next best thing. The rhythm changes slightly throughout the piece, which can be hard to follow a bit but I hope I didn't do too badly. P.S. I know not the best recording, still working on my system. Also: I think some are having a hard time with the understanding of the "title" (Ebon Coast- Drum Accompaniment) of this video. I think the key word here to explain is the following; Accompaniment (as per wikipedia) "In music, accompaniment is the art of playing along with a soloist or ensemble, often known as the lead, in a supporting manner as well as the music thus played. An accompaniment figure is a gesture used repeatedly in an accompaniment." This video wasn't about how many drums I could hit before Andy was done playing; I wasn't the lead and it wasn't my solo - it was Andy's. :)
