The Explosions - Long Long Ago (1962)

Dutch guitarband The Explosions from Rotterdam. Slideshow with vintage 60's photos from the band and Rotterdam. "Long Long Ago" was written in 1833 by English songwriter and dramatist, Thomas Haynes Bayly (1797-1839). In the Netherlands the song became known as child song "Roodborstje tikt tegen het raam" (robin taps against the window). In memory of Ron de Valk († 12-08-2007) lead-guitarist of The Explosions. He created the special sound effects on his Hofner guitar and used an Dynacord echobox and Egmond amplifier. Line-up: Ron de Valk (lead guitar, Hofner), Wim van Drie (rhythm guitar, Hofner), Gerard houthuizen (bass guitar, Hofner) and Ruud Grem (drums)
