EYEHATEGOD - Dixie Whiskey

Back

Song: Dixie Whiskey Artist: EYEHATEGOD Album: Dopesick (c) 1996 EYEHATEGOD/Century Media EYEHATEGOD is one of the bands responsible for the emergence of Sludge. Hailing from New Orleans, EHG is a band that knows how to channel all of their misanthropic world views, alcoholic binges and drug-induced furies into musical form. The tortured musings of vocalist Mike Williams are haunting and get you right in the gut from the first time you hear his grating voice. Jimmy Bower's guitar work, while not technical, is heavy enough to knock the burliest of brawlers to his knees. Every ounce of life in their music is amplified to 100 and doesn't quit until the final bit of feedback drowns out. EYEHATEGOD are unstoppable and as good as all of their output is, would you really want them to stop? This cut from Dopesick is just one of the many gems in EYEHATEGOD's catalogue and a great addition to this flawless album.
