The Olympic torch relay was described today by Qu Yingpu as the 'highest symbol for the Olympic spirit' - a symbol which dates from the 1936 Nazi Olympics in Berlin. The torch was carried through London by a succession of apolitical scabs, surrounded by three rings of thugs. The Torchbearer's Manifesto * We choose not to care that the people of China and its colonies are not free to form independent trade unions * We choose not to care that that Chinese women and children are locked in firetraps and paid a pittance to fill the pockets of the political and military elite * We choose not to care about the exploitation of rural labourers, made to work for little or no pay in unsafe conditions * We choose not to care that Chinese people are subject to illegal and arbitrary detention and torture, forced 'confessions' and execution after denial of trial by an independent judiciary.
