A video I made about self injury. May be considered TRIGGERING. Been self injuring for over 5 years now, the photos are my scars and instruments. Loads of my scars I had no photos for, so just used the ones I had. I think it conveyed the strong message I set out for it to, so I am pleased with it. Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On I think it is so ridiculous how people can be so judgemental towards you because you have an addiction, it's the same as smoking, drinking, drugs anything like that, it's just more frowned upon, and so it's not accepted by society. It's pathetic how people can watch the video and comment crap about you, or other people. Some people really have absolutely no heart, and they don't even try to empathise with the people surrounding them, they just think of themselves, and them only. Sad sad people... Please quit with the pathetic comments, saying that we are mentally weak, and it's just for attention and whatever please, if you don't like it, then move along and don't watch another self injury video, ever. UPDATE - I've been self harming for over 5 years, but am at the moment on a break from it, and have noticed that at the moment when everything is not going too badly; I DON'T NEED IT. You'll be surprised how much you think you depend on it, but when it comes to it, you really don't need it that much at all. Please just give living without self injury a chance, it's a much better way of living, there are so many things you can do instead. It's alot easier, you'll find yourself liking yourself more, you'll find you won't lie to people as much anymore... Just give it a chance for a little while, if it doesn't work, then who cares? Try again. Eventually you'll stop if you have the determination to, no matter what your body thinks. What really broke my heart on this video is people who have watched it and commented and said that they have been doing it for 20/30 even 40 years, and are still doing it. Imagine being married having kids, and one of your children seeing your scars, and you having to lie to your child about the reasons behind them. 'Oh yes Darling, my cat did it'... 'That was an old hockey scar' You know that's not what you want. The more you keep on cutting, the more dependant you'll believe you are to it.
