Back

Now in its 5th year, the Nyah Festival in Cavan takes place during March. This year's festival has been expanded with a packed programme of events extending across the county with over 300 artists. We start this week's programme with a selection of music played at the 2007 Nyah Festival by fiddle player John McEvoy and John Wynne on flute. They play "The Strayaway Child" jig, composed by Sligo fiddler Michael Gorman, followed by "The Maids of Mount Cisco" reel. For details of the 2008 Nyah festival, check out http://www.cavanmusic.com.
