ricksparks, Answer to why we don't believe Children who talk back to parents should be killed even if bible is true: cause it is a civil law for the Jews, not a religious law. If you failed to understand, then too bad cause you have selective reading & understanding problem. Ya... it's there and you twisted it. Please read the bible more & perhaps go to theological school & study more. Your brain needs more knowledge.

Why do you think the "bible" is true? What makes you think there MUST be an afterlife as described in its pages? Do you understand that the concept of "hell" was STOLEN from the Greek mythological construct, Hades? Prove there is a "god" and I'll believe in it. Hold up the "bible" as proof, however, and you might as well be holding up a ham sandwich. Or a copy of L. Ron Hubbard's "Dianetics." Religion is for suckers.

Religion drives people to limit their intellect, to brainwash children, and to strangle civilizations. No other cause has created more violent conflict in our known history. It is based on lies, has permeated our culture to the point that people idiotically exclaim "Bless you!" when people sneeze (oh, but COUGH around someone and they'll look at you like they've got the plague - but nose spray? That's a conversation piece!), and encourages people to stop thinking and to rely on the unproven.

I did search for "god," when I was told by people I trusted that I should. I found NOTHING. Instead of reacting emotionally, try looking it up. You'll be amazed at how much of the "bible" is stolen from older myths. Walking on water? Ancient India. Virgin birth? Ra and a pharoh in Egypt. Resurrecting the dead? Greek gods. Etecetera - and ALL reaching back to centuries before the "bible" was planned. How old were you when you were indoctrinated into the cult of Christianity?

No such thing exists. That means you live without it RIGHT NOW - you just pretend it is real. I dare you to address the following question directly. If you do not, you are a useless coward. If "Jesus" was real and was really the "son of god" then why is there NO PHYSICAL PROOF that such a person existed? An addendum, why are his "miracles" just COPIES of myths which were around for centuries BEFORE the "bible" came along?

hey, look up John 14:6 and John 3:16-18 those r some verses out of the bible that tell you their is life after death, whether you choose to be with god that is your desicion but if you choose not to than you will go to hell, you will live forever but in pain and suffering, to me that is something that i dont want for anybody..you choose joy or pain

Maybe not. Scientists have not yet determined, precisely, to what extent a dying brain functions. It is extremely possible that our consciousness slips into what would appear to the person in question a kind of netherworld, - a dreamlike state - until all chemical activity in the brain ceases completely. The afterlife could be nothing more than the sputtering decay of your mind, resulting in uncontrollable hallucinations until - nothingness.
