Their hands are not tied when it comes to cutting war funding. They are lying about the spending bills they are signing to support the war. The DOD has enough funding to support reduced, retrograde, operations. Almost all the supplemental spending bills go to the army of contractors over there. The goal was to reduce operations--not continue it. They are lying, continue to lie, and allow the presidential powers to increase.

The Dems may be the majority in the house, however the things they need a majority vote on need a 3/4 majority which requires some Reps support. Our "majority" is just a percentage point or 2. The Dems hands are tied. It is not their fault. The Reps are only polarizing the house because they want another Rep. president in 2008. It is just another ploy by the Rep. to say "See the Dems can't bring about change...they have failed us" We, as Americans, need to smarten up!

In the 2006 mid-term elections the democrats were given majority control of both the house and senate. The American people expected, and elected the democrats to end the war and reign in of the president: DEMOCRATS HAVE DELIVERED NEITHER. Where is the change our votes demanded? The democrats betrayed the American people. Ron Paul is the only candidate you can trust to fulfill his word.
