I agree with you that he did not go to hell for punishment.He was spotless. He went to deliver those who didn't have the option of believing in Him bcos they died b4 He came. Colossians 2:15 "And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly..." He went to lead captivity captive and make mockery of all of satan's devices;including death, which He triumphed over by rising on the 3rd day. Interesting point with the 'heart of the earth'. I'm going to read this up again.

I believe that Jesus paid for my salvation with His blood and it is by His blood that I am saved.Eph 1:7 still blesses me till today. But that was not the discussion.We were talking about whether Jesus went to hell or not. I gave you scriptures that imply He did.You haven't brought any that say He didn't but changed the subject. What do you make of the verses I put to you earlier?

eternal redemption for us Only through his Blood. If you dont believe in the blood sacrifice of Jesuus that saves you, You cant be saved ! Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Hebrews 9:12 says "He entered the holy place after He had obtained eternal redemption for us." HAVING OBTAINED... In other words, He had the right to enter and sit down at the right hand of God after His sacrifice was accepted. What do you make of the verses I put to you earlier?

I believe that Jesus is God. Jesus was God and man. He was Go AS man. Both God AND the Son of God. Remember in the garden He prayed to His Father in heaven to take the cup of suffering from Him. The one He prayed to is the one He was separated from.
