I grew up in the 80s and 90s too and I love Steely Dan. I just wish people would stop fucking bitching about how music has supposedly gone down hill. Shit music and great music have always co-existed and they always will. If you're just letting the television and top-40 radio spoon-feed your lazy ass then of course you're going to think poorly of the contemporary musical landscape. Maaan, I miss good music like this. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and they just dont make good music anymore, i love the musicianship here, every strum every beat is a reminder that once someone cared about creating something special. Here Here to the days of early michael jackson, prince, doobie brothers, tower of power, earth wind and fire, and the list goes on and on for people who cared about making you feel something while listening to them.
