The Platters should be honored for what they did. In the 1950's when black artists had to leave thru the kitchen and dress in the restroom they were selling millions of recordings and selling out concerts. These 5 young people broke down barriers and were loved by whites as well as blacks...They opened the doors for many other black artists.

I think that perhaps when Dee530 mentioned 'Black & White Stuff' he was referring to the racist comments rather than the fact that this video is in black and white.

This is one of the greatest songs EVER. Who cares who sings it....and besides.....they didn't have colour TV until the early 70's (if you could afford it then!)...so that's why the video is obviously in black & white. Get with the times and check out your information before making negative comments. I only wish the young ones these days would listen to this stuff and get a better appreciation of life and love and not these lyrics where they are constantly swearing.
