He also can hold the note that long because he has one of the best guitars in the history of mankind in his hand a gibson les paul...the sustain on these beasts is outstanding.... phil and gary what can i say...awesome. i have tears in my eyes watching this...amazing just amazing...thanks for posting it!

he manage to hold the note because of near the amplifier, the sustain, it helps with lots of distortion.

not just the intro, the whole song is based on 'blue bossa' i'm unaware if GM credits the writer of 'BB' on 'PW' but it's not unusual for this to happen in music, the only consideration seems to be, can the writer afford to sue. Weller's 1995 single changingman has an intro identical to ELO's 1972 track 10538 overture, but no credits or royalties have ever been declared. A flip of this, Fun Lovin Criminal's Scoobie Snacks contains samples from 3 Tarantino films, he takes 100% of 'SS' revenue.
