thatnks to Tom Clancy's "End War" but they made the song seem more destructive and neg. but it's very nice.

Davis developed breast cancer in 1988, and died of it in a Nashville, Tennessee, hospice, aged 72 on September 19, 2004. RIP too bad

I have always loved Skeeter Davis' version of this song. However, the version on YouTube by Satoko Ishimine is fantastic. Someone who was listening to it and not watching would never know she is Japanese. Virtually no accent during her rendition.

Again, never a fan of Country Music. I met Davis at the Florence Mall / NKY, in 1991. She was an overtly nice artist and I enjoyed her writings. "Bus Fare To Kentucky" stands as one of the best autos I've read, to date.
